About Us

The Murodas Jump System (“MJS”) was created by Grant Muroda at Iolani School in Honolulu, Hawaii, who saw the need to get more jumps per group of jumpers during practice – and save beginning jumpers from the fear and pain of landing on the bar.  Grant put the first versions of the Murodas Jump System into daily use in 2018.  He was joined by Doug Kilpatrick, a high school jump coach at Punahou School for over 60+ years, who incorporated MJS into his training regimen soon after. Doug is also a long-time track official with NFHS and USATF and has worked the WAC championships (NCAA) and USA Masters National Championships.

The prime components of the MJS (the “Starter Kit”) are created and put together by Muroda and Kilpatrick in a “boutique fabrication” environment in Honolulu. Poles and footpads from third-party sources are then added later either in Honolulu or at selected small-business Assembly Hubs strategically located around the continental USA for freight savings.
